We use the finest ski equipment and each J-craft ski boat is equipped with a teaching boom, which guarantees success for any beginner. In 2007 we will see the addition of a new Wake Board boat. Every camper receives instruction from our certified instructors and for those who wish, we offer Intensive Ski Clinics in slalom, wakeboard and barefoot skiing. All campers travel to ski periods with their cabin groups, while older campers are given additional free choice periods to take advantage of extra ski times. Timberlane also features a Wakeboard slider and professional Slalom course. We are please to be affiliated with the Ontario Water Ski Association.
Sailing
Nothing compares to the thrill of riding the wind in a sailboat. Our international staff and qualified instructors introduce campers safely to the joy of this popular sport. We sail Lasers I & II, Hobie’s, Invitations, Pico's and Hunters. Races and day trips to other lakes for more experienced campers add zest to this activity.
Canoeing / Kayak
Every camper is taught how to handle a canoe and kayak on our sheltered private lake. These skills are then used on day and overnight trips away from camp. Our popular double kayaks enable friends to share the fun of an informal paddle together.
Pontoon Boating
Take a leisurely cruise on Timberlane’s pontoon boat. Campers adore this activity as it gives them an opportunity to adore and appreciate the beauty of nature and the summer weather from a different vantage point, the water. This activity provides valuable bonding time for campers and staff, encouraging original activities, fun and games.
Fishing
Campers love to take advantage of our private lake filled with thousands and thousands of fish. Campers my fish off our exclusive fishing dock or from a row boat with their counselor. Daily catches include Small Mouth Bass, Sun Fish, Rock Bass and even Lake Trout.
