BAGGAGE PICK UP

For all Toronto and GTA campers we provide home baggage pick up for our first session and our full season campers only.   Panda 3, Second Session, Specialty Camps and all Weekender campers are to bring their baggage to the buses.

All campers in all programs arrive home with their bags at the buses.

Campers are limited to 2 duffel bags.  If you are using our home baggage pick up service please make sure you attach the baggage tags that will be sent you.  All duffle bags should be clearly marked with your child’s name in BIG BOLD BLACK MARKER.  Fishing rods, hockey sticks, musical instruments etc. may be brought to the buses and stored in the lower compartments.  Please make sure all items are clearly marked with your child’s name.

Departing for Camp

The Timberlane buses depart from from our NEW LOCATION!
75 CARL HALL ROAD at Downsview Park.  We use 55 seat LUXURY COACHES equipped with washrooms. The DEPARTURE PARTY begins at 10:30 am, and all buses depart at 12:00 pm SHARP! You will receive a separate information package, which will include your child’s bus number and departure time.  If you have not received this information by June 8, please contact our offices immediately.

Camp begins at the buses

An important part of the camping experience is the bus ride to camp. It is for this reason we do not encourage parents to drop off or pick up their children at camp.   The bus ride is an important part of the “bonding” experience.  Bus groupings are assigned by age group.  We do this so children have an opportunity to experience the bus ride with their peers.  There are experienced bus counselors on every bus available to assist.  If your child is coming to camp for the first time, and does not know anybody, please let us know- we will buddy them up with another child.  If you prefer, we can also arrange for a sibling to sit with another sibling.

SENDING MEDICATION TO CAMP

We are committed to ensuring your child is provided with the ultimate care.  We will have one of our camp nurses at the buses to accept any medication needed to be sent up with your child.  Please do not send medication up to camp with your child.  Please ensure all medications are labelled with the camper’s name and dosage.

Please do not send any snacks containing traces of peanuts with your child on the bus.  Timberlane is a Peanut/Tree Nut Free camp and we will have children with NUT ALLERGIES traveling on our buses.  We count on our parents to support our policies.
