Timberlane is noted and respected for its extensive Canoe Trip Program. Every camper, 11 years of age and older, is given the opportunity of going on at least one canoe trip, guided by carefully trained and experienced staff. Using top quality equipment we explore the lakes of Algonquin Park, Kilarney and the Temagami Wilderness.
Campers develop camping and canoeing skills, as well as knowledge of water safety and how to read the weather. Most important, campers will begin to develop a wonderful love of the Canadian outdoors. Campers will share the experience and intimacy of a campfire beside the edge of a northern lake or river at the end of a long day of adventure. It is a rare opportunity to feel the solitude and peace of open clear skies, the deep woods and clean waters. Canoe trips can be the high point of the summer for most campers, with memories that will endure for a lifetime.
