CABIN LIFE

Campers live in cabins of up to 14 – 16 kids. Each cabin group has 4-6 dedicated staff. Cabins come equipped with bathroom facilities, and there are designated shower buildings for boys and girls. 95% of our cabins are newly renovated, complete with pine interiors, hardwood floors, covered porches and ceiling fans.

COMMUNICATION WITH YOUR CHILD

Getting mail is a huge part of the camp experience. Campers love getting letters, and eagerly anticipate hearing from home. We recommend sending one or two letters prior to their departure, so that your child receives mail during the first few days while they settle into camp life. Please make sure to include your child’s full name and cabin number.

One-way email service:

Bunk1’s Bunk Note messaging system allows you to send emails to your camper directly through our website.

  • Sign on to Timberlane’s password-protected website, choose your child’s cabin, type your letter and hit send.
  • We receive letters from the system daily
  • We distribute Bunk Note letters each evening after dinner

To register for our one-way email system, please click here.  If you had an account with Bunk1 last summer, simply log in with the same username and password. You will be prompted to update your account at your first log in.

COMMUNICATION WITH CAMP

  • Regular camp updates beginning monthly until May and weekly from May through the summer months
  • Specific information on your camper’s application will be confidentially reviewed and shared with your child’s Unit Heads, Counsellors and/or our Health Centre Team
  • A courtesy call during the summer from your camper’s Unit Head, for any new campers or campers in our youngest cabins
  • A progress report from child’s swim instructor at the end of their camp session
  • Parents may contact us for additional updates on your child, at any time

LAUNDRY AT CAMP

Laundry service is available once weekly, and is included in your camp fee. Laundry is typically completed within 24 hours. Clothes are washed, dried and folded. We do not permit any hand laundry to be done in cabins.

Please make sure to label all of your camper’s belongings with nametapes or Sharpie, including clothing, baseball gloves, cameras, fishing rods, shoes and jackets. We recommend that you send a laundry bag, so that your child can collect all his/her dirty clothing in a separate place until laundry day.

BIRTHDAYS

There is nothing better than celebrating your birthday up at camp with your best friends. Every camper that has a birthday at camp gets a cake to share with his/her cabin. We also make an exception to our no package policy for birthdays. Please mark your birthday package with “hold for birthday.” And please respect our no food policy.

SPENDING MONEY

There are occasional opportunities during the summer, such as outings, when spending money may be required. We suggest the following amounts:

  • 2-week camper: $50.00
  • 4-week camper: $100.00
  • Full season camper: $150.00

Spending money will be kept in an account for your child and will be distributed by the trip supervisor.

Outside of your camper’s spending money account, please do send any additional money with your child.
